The Dragon Boat Festival in China is a traditional holiday which commemorates the life and death of the profound Chinese scholar Qu Yuan.
Taking place on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunisolar calendar, the festival is a public holiday and includes celebrations of grandeur, toasting realgar wine, preparing zongzi, a traditional rice dish, and racing dragon boats on the river!
