Overview: As the Group Head of Treasury, you will be a critical member of the Finance Leadership team, directly reporting to Paysend's CFO. You will lead and manage all aspects of cash and liquidity planning, safeguarding funds, and optimizing FX trades and positions for the UK and US entities. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong profitability mindset and the ability to inspire and lead a team of five across London and international locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all cash and liquidity planning activities. 
• Ensure proper safeguarding and funds segregation for UK and US entities, including managing safeguarding audits. 
• Develop and maintain robust banking relationships for corporate and settlement accounts, investments, and safeguarding.
• Administer and manage all bank accounts. 
• Generate regular cash and liquidity reports. 
• Implement, manage, and optimize the Treasury Management System.
• Continuously improve the FX settlement network. 
• Manage and optimize all FX trades and positions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and natural hedging of FX exposures. 
• Drive the treasury function with a focus on profitability. 
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Revenue teams.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of five professionals based in London and abroad.
• Participate actively in the Finance Leadership team, providing insights and reports to the CFO and founders.
• Travel internationally as required.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a Quantitative Science and/or CFA. 
• 8+ years of experience in Treasury and cash management. 
• Experience in payments, banking, or FinTech is highly desirable. 
• Proven leadership skills with a strong ability to manage and inspire a team. 
• High levels of ownership, commitment, and initiative.
• Strong personality with a proactive, "doer" mentality.
• Ability to live within commuting distance to London and commit to a minimum of two days of office attendance per week. 
• UK work permit.
