General Security Guidelines

2022-08-15

Your security is our top priority for Paysend.

We dedicate ourselves to keeping your information safe, following strict standards. Here's what you need to know about how we protect your information and tips on keeping your transactions secure:

Your data is protected by PCI DSS:

PCI DSS stands for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. It's a set of rules that companies like us follow to ensure that your payment information is protected. These rules help us keep your card details safe every time you make a transaction.

Keeping Your Transactions Safe:

  • Personal Card Information: Never share your card details, such as the full card number, your name as it appears on the card, the expiration date, and the CVV/CVC code, with anyone. This includes friends, family, and even Paysend support staff.
  • Know Your Recipient: Only send money to individuals and businesses you trust. This reduces the risk of fraud and scams.

Safe Interaction With Paysend Support:

When you need to contact customer support, it's safe to provide:

  • Your mobile phone number,
  • Transaction number,
  • The last four digits of your card,
  • Your date of birth.

These details help us assist you without compromising your security.

Extra Security Tips:

  • App Security: Always close the Paysend app on your phone or computer when you're not using it.
  • Keep Passwords Private: Never share your password for accessing the Paysend app. The same goes for one-time passwords (OTPs) you receive via SMS.
  • Unexpected OTPs: If you receive an OTP via SMS without requesting one, please alert Paysend support immediately. It's a precaution in case someone else is attempting to access your account.
  • SIM Card Safety: Do not share your SIM card with others. Your phone number is linked to your Paysend account and is a key part of keeping your account secure.
