I sent money to the wrong person

Mistakes happen, and sending online money transfers to the wrong person can be stressful. Whether you entered the wrong recipient name or are unsure if the transfer went through, we’re here to guide you through what to do next. Below is some important information depending on the type of error and transfer method.

  • I entered the recipient's name wrong

If the recipient's name is incorrect, but the bank details are correct, the transfer may still go through despite that.

Please wait for the final transfer status. If the recipient's name doesn't match the bank's system and the transfer gets rejected, you will receive a refund for that transfer.

  • I sent money to the wrong recipient

If you sent the money to the wrong person by mistake, we understand how frustrating that can be.

Unfortunately, if the transfer is already processing or completed, it can't be cancelled.

If the recipient has not received the money within 3 business days of the transfer being successful, please get in touch with our Customer Support team.

  • Cash pickup: wrong recipient name

For cash pickup transfers, the recipient's name must match their ID exactly. If you entered the wrong name, please contact Customer Support and we'll check if the transfer can be cancelled or corrected.
