    Senior Java Software Engineer

    What's the role about

    We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Belgrade.Our tech stack: Java 17 and newer, Kotlin, Reactor, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Oracle, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
     
    What you’ll be doing
     
    • You will be part of a cross-functional engineering team and take responsibility for developing testing and maintaining the backend services of Paysend BackOffice platform.
    • You deliver high quality maintainable code and take ownership of feature development with understanding of the business context and technological capabilities of the platform
    • Review code of other team members, proactively share knowledge and ensure that we are delivering code of high quality
    • You proactively come up with new ideas and approaches to improve our platform
    What you’ll need to be successful in the role
    • Deep knowledge of Java 17 and newer
    • Experience with Spring / Spring Boot is a must
    • Experience in developing and writing unit/integration tests
    • Clear understanding of common code design patterns and design principles
    • Experience with monitoring and observability of live services and applications
    • Hands-on experience with relational databases with knowledge of non-relational databases being a plus
    • Experience with Webflux / Reactor
    • Experience in using cloud based infrastructure AWS, GCP is a plus
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
    Desired skills
    • Experience with PostgreSQL and ORACLE databases
