What is a business day?

Business or working days are days when banks and financial institutions are open for work. Business days do not include:

• weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• public holidays
• the day the transfer or refund was made.

When calculating a transfer processing time, it's important to take into account that most transfers are not processed during non-business days.

For example, you made a transfer on Friday, May 15, and the estimated transfer processing time is 3 business days. Since the day of the transfer and weekends do not count as business days, you can expect your transfer to be processed by the end of Wednesday, May 20.

Calendar days, on the other hand, include each day on the calendar, including holidays and weekends. However, when counting calendar days, you would also typically start from the next full day.
