Paysend October 2026 offer: no transfer fee, better rate

New to Paysend? Your first international transfer comes with no transfer fee and a better exchange rate. The offer runs from 1 to 31 October 2026 for first transfers sent from the UK, the EEA and Canada. No promo code, no minimum amount — it applies automatically. Here’s how you can claim it.

Most offers talk about what you save. Let's talk about what arrives.

You already know what the money cost you. The shifts. The early mornings. The overtime nobody thanked you for.

But here's the thing nobody asks about: the only number that matters is the one your family sees. Not what you saved. Not the fee on your receipt. What lands in their hands, in their currency, on the day they need it.

Your mum isn't checking your transfer fee. She's checking whether it covers the medicine. Your brother isn't reading the exchange rate — he's working out whether it stretches to the school uniform as well as the books. And with this offer, your family gets more.

What changes the amount your family actually gets?

Two things, and only two things.

The fee is the flat charge to send. During this offer, that's zero on your first transfer.

The exchange rate is how your pounds, euros, Canadian dollars, or local equivalent, convert into your family's currency. Every provider builds a margin into that rate. During this offer, your rate includes a discount on Paysend's standard markup.

What it is

With the October offer

Transfer fee

Flat charge to send

£0,or local currency equivalent, on your first transfer

Exchange rate

How your money converts into theirs

A discount on our standard FX markup

Exchange rates move constantly, and the amount depends on your sending country, your recipient's currency and the moment you confirm.

Enter your amount in the app and the arriving figure appears on screen, in your family's currency, before you confirm anything. That's the number to check. Not the fee, not the headline — the amount that lands.

If you want to see how our standard pricing works outside a promotion, it's laid out in our guide to Paysend fees, bonuses and FAQs.

Why does the rate matter more on bigger transfers?

Because the fee is flat and the rate is a percentage.

A flat fee costs the same whether you send £100 or £1,000. A rate applies to the whole amount, so its effect scales with the transfer. On a small transfer, removing the fee is the more noticeable of the two. On a larger one — school fees, a hospital bill, a deposit on the house back home — the rate is doing most of the work.

That's worth knowing whenever you send, not just this month. It's also why "zero fee" adverts deserve a second look: a provider can charge nothing and still deliver less, because the margin sits inside the conversion where you'd never spot it. We've pulled the pricing models apart in our guide to whether mid-market rate transfers are really cheaper.

So if you have a bigger transfer coming up, check what arrives under the offer before 31 October and compare it against what you'd normally get.

How it works

All you have to do is sign up, send your first transfer, and the offer applies itself. Here’s how is easy steps:

  1. Download the Paysend app and create your account with your email or phone number
  2. Verify your identity — a photo of your passport, driving licence or national ID. Every regulated money transfer service has to do this, and it usually takes a few minutes. If you're wondering what happens to that photo and why it's needed at all, we've explained why verification matters and how it keeps you safe.
  3. Add your recipient — their full legal name, plus their card number, bank account or wallet details
  4. Enter the amount — type what you want to send, or type what you want them to receive and the app works backwards
  5. Check the arriving amount on screen, then confirm

No promo code. Nothing to activate. The promotional rate and the zero fee appear automatically on your first eligible transfer.

One detail worth getting right first time: your recipient's name has to match their receiving account exactly — full legal name, not the version you actually call them. A mismatch there is the most common reason a first transfer stalls.

How does your family receive the money transfer?

That depends on the country: a bank card, a bank account, a mobile wallet, or cash pickup on some routes. You'll see the options for your route as soon as you choose their country.

Card delivery is usually the quickest, because the money travels over the card networks instead of the traditional bank chain — no correspondent bank in the middle, no reference number to chase, and nobody has to visit a branch. If you've never sent one, here's what a card-to-card money transfer is and how it works; it's a two-minute read and it usually settles which delivery method you pick.

If your family would rather have the money in their account, that works too, though you'll need a few more details from them — account number, and sometimes an IBAN or SWIFT code depending on the country. Our guide to transferring money to someone's bank account sets out what to ask them for.

After the first one, sending again takes seconds. Your recipient stays saved.

Where is your online money transfer going?

Paysend sends to more than 170 countries, and the way your family receives it changes depending on where they are. That's worth two minutes of reading before your first transfer, because the delivery method usually decides how fast it lands.

If you're sending home to India, most people go through UPI or straight into a bank account, and transfers commonly complete within a business day whether you're sending from the UK, from Canada or from Germany. For the Philippines, there's more choice than most corridors: cards, bank accounts, GCash and other digital wallets, and cash pickup for family who'd rather collect in person — the UK to Philippines route sets out which of those applies to you.

Sending to Nigeria usually means a bank account, with cash pickup available as an alternative, and it works the same way from the UK as it does from Canada or from France. And if you're one of the many people sending from Poland to Ukraine, card and bank delivery both work, often on the same day.

Whichever route you're on, the page for it shows today's rate and the estimated delivery time before you sign up for anything.

What the offer doesn't cover

Straight answers, because you deserve them before you sign up rather than after.

First transfer only. One use per customer. Transfers after that use Paysend's standard fees and rates.

New customers only. Same-currency transfers don't qualify. Pounds to pounds, euros to euros — no.

Sending countries are limited to the UK, the EEA and Canada. Check the terms for the specific markets included.

Third-party fees may apply. Your card issuer or your recipient's bank sometimes adds a charge of their own. That's theirs, not ours, and we can't remove it.

Rates move. FX rates change constantly, and the promotional rate reflects a discount on our standard markup rather than a fixed number. The rate you see on screen is the rate you get when you confirm.

Delivery times vary by route. Card transfers often arrive in minutes; bank transfers can take longer over weekends and local public holidays. Transfers occasionally get held for routine compliance checks too, which is normal across the whole industry — why international money transfers get delayed or fail explains what triggers a hold, so you know what you're looking at if it happens.

Ready to see what actually arrives in your international money transfer?

Send your first transfer before 31 October 2026 and the no-fee promotional rate applies automatically. Check the arriving amount on screen before you confirm — then send it.

FAQs

How much will my family actually receive?

Your recipient's total depends on the amount you send, the receiving currency and the live exchange rate, so no provider can quote it before you enter your details. Paysend shows the exact arriving amount on screen before you confirm, in your family's currency. With this offer, the zero fee and the promotional rate both increase that figure.

Is there a fee to send money abroad with Paysend?

During this offer, new customers pay no Paysend transfer fee on their first international transfer sent from the UK, the EEA or Canada between 1 and 31 October 2026. Standard fees apply after that, and you always see them before you confirm.

Do I need a promo code?

No. The offer applies automatically to your first eligible transfer.

Is there a minimum amount?

No minimum spend. Sending limits vary by country, currency and verification level, and the app shows your limits as you type an amount.

Does the offer work better on larger transfers?

The fee saving is fixed, but the rate applies to the whole amount. On larger transfers, the rate is where most of the benefit sits.

What is a card-to-card money transfer?

It moves money straight from your card to your recipient's card across the card networks, rather than through the traditional bank chain. It usually arrives fastest and needs only their card number.

How long does an international money transfer take?

Card transfers often arrive within minutes. Bank transfers can take longer, particularly across weekends and local public holidays. You see an estimated delivery time before confirming and a live status afterwards.

How does my family receive the money?

Depending on the country: a bank card, a bank account, a mobile wallet, or cash pickup on some routes. Available options appear when you select their country.

What's the difference between the fee and the exchange rate?

The fee is the flat charge to send. The exchange rate decides how much of your currency becomes theirs. Both change the arriving amount, which is why you compare the received total rather than the advertised fee.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Every regulated money transfer provider verifies who you are. It protects you and your money, and it's a legal requirement. You upload an ID photo once, and it takes a few minutes.

Is Paysend safe to use?

Paysend is regulated and uses encryption, card-network security standards and fraud monitoring on every transfer. Read more on security here.

Can I use the offer more than once?

No. One use per customer, on your first transfer only.
