How to verify you card?

2024-10-04

Card verification is a simple process that helps to make your transactions safe.

In order to verify your card, Paysend will debit a small amount (between 0.50 and 2.50 USD) from the card provided. If you have enabled SMS notifications from your online banking you will receive a text message or app notification with the amount charged (for example, VISA4722 04.08.17 $1.25 debited, where 125 would be the checksum).

If SMS notifications are not enabled, you need to access your online banking, open your transaction history, and find the amount debited by Paysend or call your bank and check this information if it doesn’t appear in the online bank statement.

To verify your card you need to:
1. Log into the account of the card you entered and look at your most recent and/or pending transactions.
2. Find the transaction from Paysend debited from your account - the transaction amount should be between 0.50 and 2.50 USD.
3. Write down the exact amount, then come back here. Click “Verify card” and enter the exact amount. It’s that easy!

Note: You need to complete this process within 12 hours, otherwise your transfer will be cancelled.

Once you've completed this process, or in the case you were not able to do it within the 12 hour period, the verification amount should be credited back to your card within 3-5 business days.
