Good news — your double rewards are staying. For the whole of September 2026, every friend you invite to Paysend earns you $6 instead of the usual $3. Invite a few, and you could earn up to $72 this month, or the local currency equivalent.
It's the same referral programme you already know. The reward is simply worth twice as much until 30 September. Here's how it works, and how to make the most of it.
You earn $6 for every friend who joins and sends — up to $72 across the month.
Here's how that compares to a normal month:
Normal month | September 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
Per successful referral | $3 | $6 |
Most you can earn | $36 | $72 |
Rewarded referrals | 12 | 12 |
Invites you can send | As many as you like | As many as you like |
A few things worth knowing:
It takes just three taps, all in the app.
Your link lives in the referral section of the app, and it's yours to share however you like — a message, a group chat, an email. There's no cap on how many people you send it to.
Once your friend taps the link, they download the app and set up their account. The moment they send their first transfer (before 30 September), your $6 is on its way. It usually shows up in the app soon after, though it can take a little longer in some markets.
A friend who joins through your link and sends a transfer before 30 September. A sign-up on its own doesn't earn the reward.
This is the one bit worth flagging to your friend when you share your link. Signing up is the easy part — it's that first transfer that unlocks your $6. A quick "let me know once you've sent one" saves you both wondering where the reward went.
That referral earns the standard $3. What matters is when the transfer happens, not when your friend signs up.
Say you invite someone on 29 September and they send their first transfer on 2 October. It still counts as a referral — just at the usual $3 rate. So if there's someone you've been meaning to invite, earlier in the month gives them time to join, get set up and send while rewards are still doubled.
Anyone using Paysend in an eligible market. The one exception is the United States, where the offer isn't running.
The small print, in plain terms:
Everything else sits in the Refer a Friend terms and conditions
Anyone still paying too much to send money abroad — which is more people than you'd think.
People sent $905 billion home to family in 2024, and sending $200 still costs over 6% on average once fees and exchange-rate margins are counted (World Bank). That's real money disappearing on the way.
You probably already know who'd feel the difference. The friend sending money home every payday. The cousin splitting a bill abroad. The one who's still queuing at a branch and grumbling about it.
Send them your link this month. They get a better way to send money, you get $6.
Invite friends$6 for every successful referral — double the usual $3.
$72 in the month, from 12 successful referrals. Normally it's $36.
1 September to 30 September 2026. From 1 October, referrals go back to $3.
Yes. September is its own window, with its own $72 maximum.
No. Any qualifying transfer counts.
Nothing at all. It applies automatically to every successful referral this month.
No, but it's available to Paysend customers in all other eligible markets.
Usually soon after your friend's transfer goes through. It can take a little longer in some markets.
They stay in your account. Only the rate changes on 1 October.
As many as you like. The $72 cap is on rewarded referrals, not invites.
