How do I make a Paysend balance top-up?

*Paysend balance is available in our new version of Paysend Libre, supported by selected countries from July 2025.*

Topping up your Paysend balance is quite similar to making transfers through Paysend. Here's how to make your first top-up:

• Open your Paysend app.
• Press the plus icon in the top-right corner.
• Enter the amount you wish to add.
• Press 'Add payment option' to add a card for top-ups.
• If you haven't already, you will need to verify your identity.
• Once you are verified, go back to your top-up and press 'Resume top-up'.
• Check the top-up amount and press 'Top-up'.
• Enter your CVV/CVC and then a 3D Secure code to confirm the top-up.

If everything is alright, the money should be added to your Paysend balance within an hour.

How to verify my identity?

The verification procedure is automated and will be offered via app when necessary. You will need to upload a photo of your ID and scan your face to verify your identity.

What is 3D Secure?

3D Secure authorisation is a security procedure designed to protect your online card payments. To authorise a payment, you will typically need to enter a one-time password known as a 3D Secure code, which is sent via SMS. If you don't receive a 3DS code or the 3D Secure page doesn't open, please contact your bank.
